Alliums

During the Spring and Summer of 2023, I managed to successfully grow a micro meadow in our garden in Tunbridge Wells. The result was gratifyingly beautiful. Dotted throughout the little patch of wildflowers were clusters of deep purple alliums. I’ve tried to capture some of the essence of my little meadow in this piece.

An original painting, finished in 2024. Acrylic, ink and pastel on canvas in a white and waxed, shallow tray frame.
