Waves

This work took many weeks to complete. I made it very gradually; one layer on top of the next without any fixed idea of where I would end up. The image took shape very organically and I love the white, frothy sweeps of paint that remind me so much of waves crashing against the dark mass of a rocky hillside.

An original painting, finished in 2024. Acrylic, ink and pastel on canvas, unframed.
